The FLC Ha Long Golf Club course is short at 6,092 yards from the tips and plays to a par-71. Paspalum turf from tees to greens ensures suitable year-round playing surfaces. While the focus is on playability and scenery, there are a variety of challenges to test the skills of even the most seasoned golfers.
Four holes directly face Halong Bay, and others play around cliffs and valleys. The three courses are named Phoenix, Dragon, and Champion. The Champion is a links-style open course, while the other two play in a more mountainous fashion. You may like to try the Phoenix course, but be sure not to miss a single hole on the most spectacular and best – the Dragon course.
The front-nine may well leave you speechless; such is its dramatic splendor and intensity. You can recover your breath on the inward-nine, where the layout gradually brings you back towards the clubhouse to a closing stretch that also contains many beautifully crafted, testing, and immaculately presented holes. The long par-4 18th, with a deep watery ravine protecting the front left of the green, is as tough a closing hole as they come.

Sky Lake Resort & Golf Club, in 2015, won awards as both the best championship course in Vietnam and the 5th best course in Vietnam., making the resort the only Hanoi golf club to receive such notoriety. Korean architect Mr. Ahn Moon Hwan of Bori Golf designed all 36-holes.
The Lake Course provides championship-level golf and plays up-and-down through a series of lakes with mountains as backdrops with rolling hills framing most holes. The course and clubhouse overlook the surrounding Vietnamese farmland with picture-perfect views. Unulated fairways and greens follow the hilly contours of the area. The course is long and challenging as it plays to 7,265 yards from the tips.
Long and accurate drives are required to reach several lengthy uphill par-4 holes in regulation. Straying off the fairway will result in difficult lies in the thick rough or worse as large trees and severe drop-off areas flank most holes. Moreover, large multi-tier greens guarded by steep greenside bunker complexes characterize many Lake Course holes. At least to put things in perspective, most fairways are wide enough to accept most off-center hits, and the ball sits up very well on the lush Paspalum grass.
The Sky Course is surrounded mainly by natural Vietnamese jungle and is suitable for golfers of all abilities. Fairways are more generous, and errant shots punishment not so severe. Don’t be fooled by the generous fairways — elevated greens with turtle-back contours similar to those found at Pinehurst 2 challenge incoming shots. While not as dramatic, the Sky Course is a better layout and with less tricky holes than the other 18 at Sky Lake. It is unanimously preferred by all Vietnam golfers.

The Lakeside Course is a par-72 resort course built through a series of interconnected lakes, and that plays 7,333 yards from the tips. Water comes into play on 12 holes.
